History

The Blacksmith Shop Church
Roland P. Nirths

Where once the village Smithy stood
How stands the House of God,
And joyous music fills the air
Where Dobin once was shod.

Transformed to beauty, fair and pure
By willing hearts and hands
A masterpiece which man has wrought
In reverent glory stands.

And every act was witnessed here
From dawn till setting sun.
The peaceful star-lit valley rings
With echoes of “well-done.”

And history’s pages will record
The names of those who would
Erect a shrine for the Divine
Where once the Smithy stood.
